Justin Chambers

A former male model who posed for Calvin Klein and Armani ads, Justin Chambers was born in Springfield, Ohio, July 11, 1970. He moved progressively into acting, landing a role on the daytime soap opera "Another World" (1995) and a guest spot on "New York Undercover" (1996) before breaking into film.

Chambers debuted on celluloid in director Barry Levinson's autobiographical drama Liberty Heights (1999), followed by a supporting but high-profile turn as Jennifer Lopez's would-be beau in the romantic comedy The Wedding Planner (2001). Chambers next took on the lead in 2001's The Musketeer opposite Mena Suvari.

But Chambers' best medium is undeniably the small screen, where he gained notoriety as Kathryn Morris' sidekick in "Cold Case" (2003) before hitting the jackpot as the charismatic Dr. Alex Karev on the acclaimed series "Grey's Anatomy."
