Sunil Shetty

Dubbed "the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Bollywood," Sunil Shetty was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. He splashed onto the silver screen in 1992 opposite Divya Bharati in Balwaan and immediately established his macho, action-hero image.

Shetty (who loves playing patriotic roles) continued to pummel scoundrels in such films as Dilwale (1994), Mohra (1994), Border (1997) and Jungle (2000). But the actor has proved he's more than just an action master, expanding his cinematic range with the comedies Hera Pheri (2000) and Hulchul (2004), and the science-fiction film Rudraksh (2004).

In addition to enjoying a successful movie career, Shetty is a well-known restaurateur in Mumbai.
