Terminally ill hospital patients Bancroft (Timothy Dalton) and Deckermensky (Anthony Edwards) yearn to live life to the fullest despite their predicament. With their days numbered, they plot an escape so that they can experience one last wild adventure in the brothels of Holland. After stealing an ambulance, they meet two women (Camille Coduri and Jill Bennett) who harbor secrets and dreams of their own.
