Though Akira's (Hideo Ishiguro) brother, Atsushi (Dai Watanabe), has gone missing, the recovery of his ID card puts Akira and his friends on a trail that leads to the haunted isle of Higanjima, where bloodthirsty vampires await the unsuspecting. In this live-action adaptation of Koji Matsumoto's horror manga, Akira finds Atsushi, now a vampire hunter, sound if not safe, and together they fight to escape a land from which no human has returned.
