Errol Flynn stars as Irish-American boxer James J. "Gentleman Jim" Corbett, a bank clerk-turned-prizefighter who became the world's first heavyweight champion and helped elevate the often-dangerous sport from a pastime to a skilled profession. Alexis Smith, Alan Hale, Jack Carson and Ward Bond also star in this 1940s biopic based on Corbett's autobiography. Raoul Walsh (White Heat, High Sierra) directs.
