In the first of these two action spectacles starring supersized bodybuilder Steve Reeves, Greek soldier Philippides leads the charge to defend Athens against the Persian army. To rescue his imperiled city from the invaders, the hero must travel to Sparta to boost the ranks of the badly outnumbered Athenian forces. In The Last Glory of Troy, Reeves again flexes his muscles and saves the day as Aeneus, liberator of the enslaved Trojan people.
