In this drama based on the novel by Aidan Higgins, Imogen Lagrishe (Judi Dench) is an upper-class property owner who falls in love with Otto Beck (Jeremy Irons), a burdened academic. But the two lovers soon discover that their burgeoning romance doesn't come without conflict. Lagrishe struggles to spend time with her sisters and Beck must carefully balance his personal life with his studies. The program originally aired on BBC television.
