The tables turn on a ruthless kidnapper (Klaus Kinski) who has taken hostage the household of a wealthy couple, including the couple's child, their maid (Susan George) and their family chauffeur (Oliver Reed). The captor's seemingly foolproof plan is derailed when the young boy's poisonous pet snake is set free and gradually kills each person in the house.
