Khushi (Rani Mukherjee) is an orphan who's made her way by conning people. Ranbir (Ajay Devgan) is a reserved architect who's just been rejected by his true love. When their paths cross, Ranbir mentions that he built a house for his lost love and that he's leaving town, so Khushi moves in and pawns herself off as his fiancée. When Ranbir returns, the two make a deal: He'll pay her to continue the con until he gets his love back.
