Jamal and Enayatullah are cousins and Afghan refugees who embark on a dangerous and clandestine overland odyssey that takes them from Pakistan to London in this gripping documentary-style drama from director Michael Winterbottom. Set in the aftermath of 9/11 and the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan, Winterbottom uses a cast of non-professional actors who improvise real-life situations. The film won the BAFTA award for Best Foreign Language Film.
