Based on a series of short stories by Rebecca Miller (daughter of playwright Arthur Miller), these vignettes tell the story of three women (Fairuza Balk, Parker Posey and Kyra Sedgwick) trying to free themselves from the stifling constraint of the men in their lives. Balk shines as a pregnant teenager who hits the road looking for something different and finds it in a battered hitchhiker.
